FAQ'S

Memberships

Q: How do I become a member?
A: Becoming a member is easy! Simply call into Legends, complete a copy of our membership form and book in for your new member induction. External (non-Bentley) and Bentley Contractors/REA members will be required to complete a standing order for their monthly payments. Bentley Colleagues’ membership fee will be deducted from their monthly salary.

Q: What is the difference between a Gym Induction and a Fitness Programme?
A: A Gym Induction is a compulsory appointment for all new members. It takes about 15 minutes and involves a questionnaire of your current health and medical situation and a brief show round of our fitness equipment. A Fitness Programme is an optional hour long appointment with a member of our trained gym team who will create a personalised programme for you based on your fitness goals. This will include an in-depth show round of all our equipment.

Q: I’ve been a member of Legends before; do I have to complete a gym induction again?
A: Yes. Once a membership has been cancelled we dispose of all supporting documentation. Inductions are for your safety and there may have been changes to your health since your last induction that we need to be aware of. It only takes a few minutes to complete.

Q: Who is eligible for a Bentley Membership?
A: Bentley Memberships are available to Colleagues, Contractors and Service Contractors working at Bentley Motors. Bentley ID will be required at the time of sign-up.

Q: Who is eligible for my Joint membership?
A: Bentley joint memberships are available to a Bentley Colleague, Contractor or Service Contractor and one immediate family member, including: Partner/Spouse, Parents, Children and Siblings. All members must be over the age of 16. External joint memberships are available to any two people over the age of 16. Please note that the full membership fee will be taken from one account and cannot be split.

Q: Who is eligible for an REA membership?
A: REA or Retired Employee Association memberships are for retired Bentley Colleagues who are in receipt of a pension and had worked at Bentley for 25 years or more.

Q: What is the minimum age for a membership?
A: Customers must be 16 years or over for any of our memberships.

Q: Is there a minimum contract for a membership?
A: No, you are not tied into any length of contract for our memberships. Our memberships are a rolling payment from month to month and you are welcome to cancel at any time.

Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: If you wish to cancel your membership, simply complete a copy of our cancellation form at the reception desk. Non-Bentley Colleagues and Contractors will need to cancel the standing order with their bank. Please note that we are unable to do this for you; if you fail to cancel your standing order on time we will not be able to refund the membership fee. For Bentley Colleagues we will advise payroll to cease payments.

Q: How much notice do I need to give to cancel my membership?
A: You can cancel your membership with us at any time. For non-Bentley Colleagues and Contractors, cancellation should be made before the 1st of the month to ensure payment isn’t taken from your bank for the following month. Bentley Colleagues should notify us of cancellation before the 20th of the month to ensure that payment isn’t taken from their salary for the following month.

Q: Are Fitness Classes included in my membership?
A: Yes, all Fitness Classes including virtual sessions are included in your monthly membership*. Please view our class timetable for our full range of classes available.

*Fitness Classes are not included within the Off-Peak Membership but available for a small fee.
 

Sporting Activities

Q: Do I need to be a member to book sporting activities?
A: No, all sporting activities are open to the general public.

Q: How do I book a sporting activity?
A: To book any of our indoor or outdoor sporting activities simply call our reception on 01270 656868 and we can check availability for your desired date and time and make the booking for you there and then. All we take is your name and a contact number, the booking is to be paid for on arrival.

Q: When can I book an activity in the Sports Hall?
A: All Sports Hall bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance, from the current date. All sports hall bookings start on the hour and have a 55 minute duration.

Q: Can I hire sports equipment?
A: Yes, we have a full range of sports equipment available for hire such as badminton racquets, shuttlecocks, tennis balls, footballs. Hire charges apply, please ask for details.

Q: How do I access the free swimming session?
A: Our free swimming sessions at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre are for Bentley Colleagues, Contractors, Legends Members and their immediate family. Summer Sessions run from May to September on Thursday evenings 7-8pm, Winter Sessions from October to April are on Sunday afternoons 4-5pm. Register your interest at lianne.challis@bentley.co.uk and show your Bentley ID or Legends Membership Card to the staff at the Lifestyle Centre to gain access.
 

Fitness Classes

Q: Do I need to be a member to take part in your Fitness Classes?
A: No, all fitness classes are open to non-members for a small fee. Fitness Classes are free for members*
*Fitness Classes are not included within the Off-Peak Membership but available for a small fee.

Q: Do I need to book for a fitness class or can I just turn up?
A: Whilst pre-booking for a class is not compulsory it is recommended. All of our classes have a limit on the number of participants (this varies from class to class) and those that have booked their slot have first refusal on the spaces.

Q: How do I book onto a Fitness Class?
A: Simply call our reception on 01270 656868 and we can check availability for your desired class and make the booking for you there and then. All we take is your name and a contact number, the booking is to be paid for (if applicable) upon arrival.

Meetings and Conferences

Q: How can I check availability of your meeting rooms?
A: Simply call our reception on 01270 656868 or email our dedicated conference account Legends, Legends.ConferenceBooking@bentley.co.uk and we will be happy to check any dates for you. We can advise on the most suitable room to suit your delegate numbers and meeting type.

Q: I have to check suitable dates for a number of managers; can I hold a room without paying for it whilst I check attendee availability?
A: Yes. All conference bookings are taken on a provisional basis to allow suitable time to check dates with attendees and gain your necessary form of authorisation (signature, purchase order number etc.). Bookings are held provisionally for two weeks*, a fully completed booking form is required to confirm your provisional hold. If a booking form hasn’t been received by the two-week deadline date, your booking will be released from the diary and that date will become available to other customers.
*If your meeting is in less than two weeks from the date you make your provisional booking, we will hold the room for 72 hours

Q: I haven’t got a purchase order number but my deadline date is looming, can I confirm my provisional conference booking without it?
A: Yes, we don’t require a purchase order number to confirm a booking or to send an invoice. However if your company requires a purchase order number to make payment, please ensure your PO number is sent to us within 7 days of your event. All events are invoiced after the event has taken place.
Bentley meetings do not require a purchase order number but do need to have a cost centre number and a signature from the budget holder.

Q: Can I book a Bentley Motors tour with my conference?
A: Whilst we are unable to offer this service directly, there is a General Interest Tour available ran by the Bentley Experience Team. Details of the tours and further information regarding the Bentley Flagship Showroom CW1 House can be found here.

Q: Some of our guests have allergies and dietary requirements. Can this be accommodated with the catering options we have chosen?
A: Yes absolutely. We will endeavour to cater to all food allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements for all catering and refreshments provided. Please clearly state on your booking form any and all requirements.

Q: My event is larger than your maximum room capacity; do you have any alternative options?
A. Yes, our sports hall is regularly used as a large event space accommodating over 700 delegates. We work closely with a number of event companies who can help to supply a range of audio visual equipment, staging, lighting, furniture and room dressing to suit all budgets. We also have a large, flexible outdoor grounds suitable for a range of events and team building activities. BeFit

Q: What is BeFit?
A: BeFit is a health and well-being programme designed specifically for Bentley Colleagues and Contractors. It is structured to help improve the mental and physical well-being of our workforce.

Q: Who can join BeFit?
A: BeFit is open to all Bentley Colleagues and Contractors.

Q: How do I join BeFit?
A: To join, please request a BeFit Joining Questionnaire from Legends Reception. Simply complete and return to Darren Rogers or Amy Collins via Darren.Rogers@Bentley.co.uk and Amy.Collins@Bentley.co.uk who will register you onto the programme.

Q: What does BeFit consist of?
A. The Befit programme is delivered in 4 parts, running from January to December. Each quarter consists of different events such as workshops, seminars, health checks and physical activity and sporting events. Additional support and advice is available through group and one-to-one coaching. Throughout the year members will also receive regular email communication with helpful hints and tips to keep you focused on your goals.

Q: Can I park on Legends car park?
A: Legends car park is available for use by anyone who is using the facility. We have limited space available for conference guests, gym members and sporting activity customers, therefore we kindly ask that all vehicles be removed once your meeting or sporting event is over. Our car park is not a secondary car park for Bentley Colleagues and its use is regularly monitored by the Bentley Security Team.
